Ichikawa Danjuro VI as Gorobei Masamune, 1858 - Interesting scene from the play "Date Moyo Somete Kisaragi" of Ichikawa Danjuro VI as Gorobei Masamune. He sits on the edge of a bamboo bench, staring ahead with an alarmed expression his eyes wide. He wears a summer kimono patterned with monkeys, one geta clog on the floor and his leg tucked up. Steam rises from the hot water of a bath behind him filling the air. An intriguing image, nicely detailed.
