A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

View of Enoshima and Fuji from Shichirigahama, 1847 - 1852 - Attractive scene of beauties and children on the beach at Shichirigahama, with the tip of Enoshima visible at upper right. One woman crouches on the sandy shore, handing a shell up to her companion, who carries a basket with a fish in it under her arm. In her other hand she holds a large lobster. Her brown print kimono is loosely wrapped about her, tied with a red obi and tucked up at the waist to keep it out of her way. Two naked boys run along the beach, waving their hands excitedly, while a few swimmers frolic in the waves. An attractive design.
