Series; Eight Views of Beauties

Autumn Moon at Miho, circa 1830s - Lovely portrait of a beauty standing on a verandah reading a letter, a full moon glowing in the evening sky. She looks down intently as she holds the message with both hands, her robe and obi loosely wrapped about her. A circular inset at upper right features a view of Miho in autumn. An attractive design from a rarely seen Kunisada beauty series.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 9 7/8" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. Loss at corner, stitching holes at side, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, slight rubbing at edges, spotting. Please see photos for details.
