Opening the Temple Gate at Kinryuzan, Asakusa, circa 1839 - 1842 - Interesting depiction of Kinryuzan Temple in Asakusa, with visitors on upper verandah at left enjoying a view out over the city. The plaza below is filled with crowds, with shops lining the area. Tall trees and clouds frame the scene at lower right. The first time we've seen this Hiroshige subject.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight toning, a few creases and spots, small stain, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
