Comments - A group of 32 miscellaneous ink sketches and tracings of various prints including Hiroshige, Utamaro, Yoshitora and others. These ink drawings are bought and sold in Japan by dealers and can include original artwork for prints or artwork for reprints of original prints. The sketches are used as the first process step in creating a final woodblock print. I purchased this random group in Tokyo with a small collection. The sketches appear to be Meiji or Edo era, but it’s difficult to tell. We’re clearing them out as a group opening at $89. This is an interesting lot for a collector or dealer. We’re opening the lot for a fraction of our cost. - Bill

Size - Generally oban, approximately 14 1/2" x 9 1/2", a couple small prints

Condition - Generally good, very thin sketch or tracing paper with a few random small tears, wrinkles, etc. A few minor spots here and there.
