Courtesan on an Early Spring Day, 1855

Comments - Charming kabuki portrait of a beauty on an early spring day, with blossoming plum trees framing a view of the water beyond the verandah railing. Her outer kimono features an unusual scene of foxes in human dress in a procession at a shrine, with a large red torii gate over her back. An interesting design, nicely detailed.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 7/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details.
