Beauty Turning a Fan, 1855

Comments - Interesting scene of a beauty turning a wheel of individual uchiwa or rigid fans attached to a hub on a black lacquer stand. She pauses to look up at the young woman behind her, who carries a tray with a folded robe in it. Light green curtains with a blue floral pattern hang in a doorway at upper right. Nicely detailed with embossing on the fans and the white kimono collar.

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Folds at edges. Creasing, slight soiling, a few marks. Please see photos for details.
