Beauties and Blossoming Cherry Trees, 1856

Comments - Lovely triptych featuring beauties in an upper story room, admiring the blossoming cherry trees in the garden below. In the center, a woman kneeling at the railing gestures to her companion, who happily smiles back at her. At right, a matron holds a flowering branch with a poem slip tied to it. A beauty beside her carries a floral arrangement in a vase atop a red lacquer stand. A charming design, nicely composed and detailed.
