Beauties Cooling off at a Waterfall, 1893

Comments - Lovely triptych of beauties in a beautiful garden setting, cooling off on a warm summer day. In the center, a woman holds her daughter's hand as they wade through a pool at the base of a rushing waterfall, lifting their kimono above the water. The beauty standing on the shore nearby has wet hair from bathing, hanging loose over her shoulders to dry, while her companion at right sits on a rock, cooling her feet in the water. A charming subject with a wonderfully detailed natural setting.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 14" x 28" + left margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Vertical folds. Slight soiling and creasing, a few small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
