The Tokaido - In the 1860s, Hiroshige II did two very similar vertical chuban size Tokaido series, each with the same title cartouche. This series dates from 1867, and is distinguished by the signature of "Rissho," the artist name Hiroshige II began using in 1865. These handsome designs show travelers making their way through the countryside or passing through the stations along the Tokaido Road. An attractive series with many interesting compositions.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight toning and soiling. Some prints have a few stitching holes at side, small losses at corners, creasing, or stains. Please see photos for details.
