Original Kunisada II (1823 - 1880) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty and City View

Comments - Lovely portrait of a beauty taking a stroll, pausing to look back over her shoulder with a smile. Her kimono is shaded from violet to gray with a patterned border, and she wears tall wooden geta clogs. A border of clouds separates the figure from a view of the city with rooftops stretching out into the distance. At upper right, the top of what appears to be a festival float topped with an oversized offering tray and a banner can just be seen. An attractive Edo era beauty design.

Artist - Kunisada II (1823 - 1880)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 10" + top margins as shown
