The Seven Lucky Gods: Bishamonten, 1855 by Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
The Seven Lucky Gods: Bishamonten, 1855

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of a man standing beneath a blossoming plum tree in early spring, a cloth headdress in one hand and a crumpled dotted cloth in the other. He wears a shore black jacket with writing on the collar over a kimono and black leggings, his robe tucked up in the back for easier movement. An interesting design with an attractive natural setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small losses at corners and slight thinning at edge, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, a few creases and stains. Please see photos for details.
