Drastic Price Reduction Moved to Clearance, Act Fast! - Handsome portrait of the warrior Katagiri Katsumoto, who served the Minamoto clan and was famous as one of the "Seven Spears of Shizugatake," personal bodyguards to Toyotomi Hideyoshi at the Battle of Shizugatake in 1583. After Hideyoshi's death, he was appointed chamberlain to the Toyotomi household, but his difficulties mediating between Lady Yodo, the mother of Hideyoshi's young heir Hideyori, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, who wanted to usurp Hideyori's position, led to his leaving Osaka Castle under a cloud of suspicion. Here, he wipes his eye with his hand as he prepares to depart. He wears a fine vest with a brocade collar over his armor, his hair pulled back into a short ponytail. The samurai Kimura Shigenari stands beside him, looking up with a concerned expression, worried about what will happen after he leaves. A flock of birds flies across the sky, and the tower of a castle rises above the foliage on the opposite shore. Nicely detailed and colored.
