Children Imitating the New Year's Parade of Fire Brigades, 1857 - Terrific triptych depicting children imitating the New Year's parade of fire brigands. Just like their adult counterparts, the boys carry red paper lanterns, fire hooks called tobiguchi (kite's beaks), and fringed brigade standards known as matoi, along with bamboo ladders. A wonderful design filled with detail. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, has this image in its collection.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Large tear, small loss at corner, a few wormholes, repaired. Creasing, slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details.
