Shinobazu Pond at Ueno - Lovely view of people strolling along the bank of Shinobazu Pond in Ueno, enjoying the blossoming cherry trees lining the path. A toy vendor sits on a straw mat at right, with his wares displayed before him. An arched bridge leads to the shrine on an island in the pond, with the city rooftops shadowed in gray in the distance. A rarely seen subject, also in the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
