Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Stories with Three Subjects: New Editions of Today, circa 1865

Comments - Interesting print showing an unfortunate mishap when a man carrying a large trunk on his back tumbles to the ground from the weight. A young boy behind him laughs with amusement, a lantern and kettle tied to the broom over his shoulder. At upper right, a man wearing Western style button front jacket over a collared shirt and pants. looks on with a frown. An unusual subject.
