Rogue Gripping a Sword, 1875

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of a rogue gripping his sword upright with both hands, an angry frown on his face. Under an outer vest he wears unusual armor made of white fur with small metal plates. His hair sticks up wildly atop his head, with the longer hair pulled back into a ponytail. Nicely detailed with embossing on the fur and white sash, and a dusting of mica across the night sky.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 13 5/8" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Horizontal centerfold. Sight soiling at edges, a few creases, small paper inclusion in margin. Please see photos for details.
