Thriving Business in Saruwaka-machi, 1847 - 1852 - Lively view of the Saruwaka-machi theater district, the street filled with people. Teahouses and shops run across the top of the scene, while the rooftop of a theater can be seen at lower right with its signs peeking up atop the tiled roof. The first time we've offered this interesting design.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight separation at end of vertical fold, slight thinning at edge, repaired. Slight creasing, toning, soiling, and rubbing. Please see photos for details.
