Kabuki Double Portrait with Sake Barrels

Comments - Great kabuki double portrait of two men posed in front a stack of straw-wrapped barrels of sake with the characters, cherry blossoms, and targets painted on the sides. The casks may be decorative barrels known as "kazaridaru," which are displayed at Shinto shrines as offerings from sake makers. An interesting subject, attractively colored and detailed.

Artist - Meiji era artist (unsigned)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 28 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning, stain. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
