Eitai Bridge, 1857 - Interesting scene of a maid standing on a dock, holding up a lantern as she looks ahead, perhaps waiting for a beauty to board the waiting pleasure boat. A plaid robe is draped over one arm, and she carries a brazier in her other hand, a striped apron wrapped around her waist. The inset above shows the Eitaibashi or Eitai Bridge. A charming image, nicely detailed with embossing on the woman's white under robe, and fine bokashi shading in the water.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 10" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Stitching holes at side, small loss at corner, a few small holes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
