Minakuchi, Ishibe, Kusatsu, Otsu, and Kyoto Stations, circa 1835 - Travelers make their way along the road above Lake Biwa from Mizuguchi to Ishibe, with the yellow rooftops of Kyoto nestled among the mountains in the distance. The pilgrim in the center carries a mask of Sarudahiko, the Shinto god of the crossroads, on his back as he travels to Kompira Shrine in Shikoku. An attractive design with fine bokashi shading in the water.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Large losses at corners, wormholes, thinning along vertical centerfold, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, rubbing, and creasing, stains. Please see photos for details.
