A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Samurai and Young man in an Iris Garden, 1847 - 1852 - Interesting kabuki scene of a young man and a samurai visiting an iris garden. The samurai scowls angrily as he tugs on the sleeve of the youth's kimono, a letter in his hand. He looks back at him with a quizzical expression, his mouth slightly agape. Irises blossoms alongside the wooden walkways that extend out over the water. Nice expressive figures in an attractive setting.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 7/8"
