Genji and Beauties Watching Cormorant Fishermen - Handsome illustration from the famous "Tale of Genji" of the young nobleman and beauties watching cormorant fishermen at night. Holding a bow in his hand, Genji looks up with a grin as he stands on the shore, the beauty at left gesturing towards the water. At right, a woman lifts a flaming torch. An attractively colored and detailed triptych, with soft shading in the water and clouds, and a yellow border decorated with confetti-like shapes.

Image Size - 14" x 28 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. A couple small holes, repaired. Slight soiling and creasing, a few marks. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
