Spring Colors: Lion Dance at a Mansion, 1861

Comments - Handsome triptych depicting a nobleman and a group of beauties on the verandah of a mansion watching a lion dance performance. The standing woman in the center giggles shyly into her sleeve as she watches the costumed performers, accompanied by a two men playing the flute and the drum. The beauties are elegantly dressed in beautiful kimono patterned with flowers, the white trim delicately embossed. A lovely spring scene, nicely colored. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 29 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Small losses at corners, slight thinning at edges, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, slight rubbing at edges, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
