Cherry Blossom Viewing - Beautiful triptych of a beauty and a young girl viewing delicate pink and white cherry blossoms. The beauty wears a lovely aqua kimono with an intricate pattern of wisteria blossoms and a royal cart on the sleeve. She shades her eyes with an elegant fan, the ribs gently embossed, and a small lacquer case is tucked into the front of her robe. A cloth panel is tied to the cherry tree at right to provide privacy for a picnic. Beautifully detailed with fine embossing in the white kimono collars and tent fabric, and burnishing in the hair. A wonderful springtime subject, exquisitely printed.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 28 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight toning, a couple small marks, a couple light stains at edges. Please see photos for details.
