Daikoku and Dream with White Rats Pillar Print

Comments - Terrific pillar print image of Daikoku, one of Japan's famous Seven Lucky Gods, leaning against a bale of rice and smoking a pipe. The smoke drifts upwards to reveal a scene of white mice or rats or mice dressed as samurai atop the thatched roofs of traditional buildings. Several of the mice carry an enclosed palanquin . A fascinating image with wonderful detail, highlighted with hand coloring.

Image Size - 24 5/8" x 4 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. Remnants of paper hinge mounts on reverse at top corners. A few holes and thinning spots, repaired. Toning, creasing, slight soiling, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
