by Shunsen (1762 - circa 1830)
Comments - Charming scene of a royal carriage stopped beneath a blossoming cherry tree, accompanied by a young boy and two palace guards wearing white tunics and small black caps. The guard at left pauses to fasten his sandal. An attractive design, beautifully detailed with embossing on the cherry blossoms and the undulating surface of the water.
