Warding off Evil Spirits - Fascinating triptych of the custom of warding off evil spirits during the festival of Setsubun in February, which takes place just before the first day of Spring. A man scatters roasted soybeans across the floor to chase away evil spirits and to welcome in good luck and prosperity for the New Year. Nice embossed detail on the women's kimono, with the red orange pigment of their robes oxidized to a darker tone. Includes burnishing on the black lacquer screen frame and the lamps.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, a few stains, paper slightly curled. Please note, due to the size, this print may be shipped rolled. Please see photos for details.
