by Eizan (1787 - 1867)
Comments - Attractive kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty out for a stroll. She carries a floral lantern on a slender pole, the edge of her scarf caught between her teeth. She wears a green striped kimono tied with a black obi with a bold geometric pattern. Nicely drawn with flowing line work. A classic Edo era beauty subject.
