Onoe Kikugoro III as Kumonryu no Chogoro and Sawamura Tossho I as Tofuya no Saburobei - Handsome kabuki diptych featuring from left Onoe Kikugoro III as Kumonryu no Chogoro and Sawamura Tossho I as the tofu maker Saburobei. Chogoro looks back over his shoulder with an alarmed frown, his eyes wid. He holds a large pick-axe and wears a short coat over a black undergarment and leggings, showing of his upper body tattoo of dragons. Saburobei looks back at him with an angry frown as he lifts up his kimono. A border of clouds separates the figures from blossoming white cherry trees against a blue sky. Nice expressive figures.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases and spots. Please see photos for details.
