Ichikawa Yaozo V as Tsuribune no Sabu, 1839 - Great kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Yaozo V as the otokodate or street knight Tsuribune no Sabu in the play "Natsu matsuri Naniwa kagami." He grimaces angrily as he throws one hand out at his side, the other tucked beneath his plaid kimono. He wears a sleeveless black undergarment, which shows off his upper body tattoo. Pink clouds and confetti-like dots are scattered across the background. A handsome design.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Horizontal folds. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases and thinning spots. Please see photos for details.
