A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Bando Hikosaburo IV as Teranishi Kanshin, 1850 - Handsome portrait of Bando Hikosaburo IV as the samurai Teranishi Kanshin in a scene from the kabuki play "Kakitsubata Tamuke no Hanakawado." He stands staring ahead with a tight-lipped frown, his sword extended in his hand. He wears an eerie kimono patterned with a skull, bones, and autumn grasses, the sleeves tied back with a cord. Signs hang across the background, with a heavy bench at left and a lacquer chest at right. An interesting subject with a nicely detailed setting.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
