A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Yatsushiro Defending Herself - Dramatic scene of the samurai Kiheiji's wife, Yatsushiro, defending herself with a naginata under a hail of arrows. She brings the weapon down before her, the blade slicing an arrow in two as she grins over her shoulder. Her hair is disheveled from fighting, and the sleeves of her red outer robe are tied back with a gray sash. A pet wolf at her side snarls and snaps angrily, arrows protruding from its body. A terrific and unusual image of a woman in battle.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Small losses and wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details.
