Flood: Nakamura Shikan III as Abe Bungo-no-kami, 1876 - Fantastic image of Abe Bungo-no-kami riding his horse through a flood, gripping the reins with a tight-lipped frown as he urges his mount ahead with a riding crop. The deep water is up to the frightened animal's chest, splashing and foaming as the pair tries to make it through. A great action scene, beautifully composed and nicely detailed with faint embossing on the white sash tied around the samurai's head.
