Yui, Okitsu, Ejiri, Fuchu, and Mariko Stations, circa 1835 - Handsome design from a rarely seen Kuniyoshi Tokaido series featuring from three to five stations per print. Five stations are shown here, with two men taking a break beneath a pine tree at Mariko, one gesturing to the mountainous scenery beyond. The towns of Fuchu and Ejiri and nestled along the shore below the hills, with travelers crossing the river towards the village at lower left. In the distance, the famous pine grove of Miho Beach near Okitsu can be seen. Yui is not shown, but represented by the yellow label at top center above the mountains.
