Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. A Beauty in the Morning Mist - Wonderful portrait of a young beauty waking in the early morning after a long night of entertaining. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth bun adorned with a few hairpins, including a metal one decorated with a tiny cuckoo flying past a crescent moon. Beautiful color and detail in this charming image.
