Rokurokubi (Long-necked Demon)

Comments - Fantastic illustration of a long-necked female demon, called a rokurokubi, looking over the edge of a folding screen. Appearing as ordinary women by day, at night rokurokubi can extend their necks several meters long to scare or spy on people. Here, the demon's head appears on a very slender sinuous neck, emerging from a bath tub behind the screen An incredible image of this supernatural creature. Ghost and demon woodblocks are highly collectible and quite sought-after. We've never before seen this subject in reprint.
