Tasty: the appearance of a prostitute during the Kaei era, No. 17 - A young prostitute is shown enjoying a dish of battered prawns on a verandah under a full moon. The title of this print, "tasty," is a pun referring to both the prawns and the girl herself. She wears a light cotton robe, her pale pink obi beautifully embossed to show the crepe texture of the fabric. Her lightweight garments and the full moon indicate a setting in autumn, and dining outdoors was a popular pastime. An excellent lithograph edition of this famous design.
