Series; Views of Famous Places in Edo, 1861 - 1864

The Sanno Shrine, 1862 - Attractive view of the grounds at Sanno Shrine, with visitors strolling among the bright red buildings. A group of men in matching blue and white kimono stands at left, next to a beauty in a red robe wearing a white pilgrim's vest. Two young samurai in polka dotted kimono watch them as an older man gestures with his hand. A handsome composition with pine trees framing the view.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small loss at edge, slight thinning at corner, a few small wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling and creasing. Please see photos for details.
