The Ide Jewel River in Yamashiro Province, circa 1844 - 1846 - Charming scene of a beauty traveling along the Ide Jewel River in Yamashiro Province. She wears a kimono patterned with geese in flight and tall wooden geta clogs. She pauses to lift the edge of the kimono draped over her head and shoulders as she scans the horizon, holding the hem of her robe with her other hand. Yamabuki or yellow mountain roses grow along the banks of the quiet water behind her. A lovely image.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)

Image Size - 9 7/8" x 7 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Wormhole, a few small holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing. Please see photos for details.
