by Inoue (Terada) Akitoyo (active circa 1950s)
Comments - Artist Akitoyo Terada was known for his Noh theater woodblocks published by Uchida in the 1950s. His figures are expressively rendered with delicate detail in the masks and sumptuous, beautifully colored costumes. This dramatic image features the white lion dancer from the play "Shakkyo." A nice subject for collector interested in Noh theater.
