The Wife of Shinozuka Iga, 1843 - 1847

Comments - Handsome scene of the wife of Shinozuka Iga standing in the snow outside a house, turning to look back over her shoulder. The beauty catches the edge of her scarf between her teeth as it flutters in the wind, sheltering a lighted twist of paper with her sleeve. Her geta clogs leave distinctive footprint sin the snow, which blankets a pine tree and the garden fence, falling heavily against the night sky. An attractive design, nicely composed.
