Comments - Handsome scene of Prince Genji enjoying the company of a young beauty. The nobleman reclines on a cushion at left, one arm resting on a go board while the beauty smiles shyly as a kneeling matron shows her a book with a woodblock print illustration. At right, a girl carries in an elegant black lacquer container tied with a cord. The room opens onto a garden with blossoming cherry trees framing a pond. An attractive design, nicely detailed with embossing on the white kimono trim.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels, backed with paper. Slight separation and thinning along vertical fold at side of two panels, loss along edge, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, creasing and slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
