Fine Views of the Eastern Capital at a Glance - Published in two volumes in 1800, Hokusai's "Fine Views of the Eastern Capital at a Glance" features diptych illustrations of famous sites in Edo accompanied by a kyoka poem. These beautifully detailed images vividly capture life in and around the city, including the crowded Nihonbashi, the blossoming cherry trees at Asukayama, and elegant courtesans along the Sumida River.
