Original Kiyoshi Ikezumi (born 1913) Japanese Woodblock Print
Store, 1969

Kiyoshi Ikezumi - Fantastic modern design by the artist Kiyoshi Ikezumi, who created a series of woodblocks recalling both 1920s and modern street scenes and corner shops in Japan, along with traditional festivals and celebrations. Ikezumi wanted to capture the culture and neighborhoods of old Japan before they disappeared completely, replaced by large modern buildings. His striking works feature hand coloring and heavy black outlines, giving them a stained glass-like appearance with bold graphic appeal. A great choice to collect or display, each print is signed and dated in pencil.
