Series; Thirty-two Leaves of Good and Evil

Thirty-two Leaves of Good and Evil - Great design from Kunichika's series "Thirty-two Leaves of Good and Evil." Each print features a bold portrait of a kabuki actor in either a good or evil role, set against a backdrop of oversize blossoms or plants and framed with a dark blue border. These expressive figures are nicely detailed, with fine line work in the hair. Some designs include deluxe techniques such as embossing. A rarely seen early Kunichika series.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small thinning spot, hole, repaired. Slight toning and creasing, slight soiling at edges, a few spots. Please see photos for details.
