Edo Era Woodblock Print Album  - This album comprises 52 original Edo era kabuki woodblock prints by Toyokuni III/Kunisada and Kuniyoshi. The works by Toyokuni III include 7 triptychs, 6 diptychs, and 2 single panels. Most interestingly, two of the diptychs are in a vertical format unusual to find for kabuki subjects. The prints by Kuniyoshi include 3 triptychs and 4 diptychs. The woodblocks are oban size, mounted to paper and attached along one side. The album has a traditional stab binding and paper covers. A nice opportunity to acquire a group of original Toyokuni III and Kuniyoshi woodblock prints in an album format.

Size - Each panel approximately 14 5/8" x 9 1/2"; overall size 14 5/8" x 10 1/4" x 5/8"
Condition - Prints with excellent detail as shown. Mounted to paper and attached along one side. Losses and wormholes. Toning, soiling, creasing, rubbing, stains. Some prints have small paper labels with writing on them attached. Binding intact. Please see photos for details.
