Hiyoshi Mamoru - Hiyoshi Mamoru studied Western style painting at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts. After graduating in 1909, he moved to Korea, teaching at a school for Japanese students during Japan's colonial rule of Korea., and living there until 1945. In the 1950s, he began designing woodblock prints, primarily of Korean scenes and customs, for the publisher Kyoto Hanga-in. His colorful prints are nicely composed and full of interesting details, vividly capturing life in Korea during this time.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. A couple light creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
