Series; New Eight Views of Omi, 1937

First Edition The New Eight Views of Omi - Handsome design from Tokuriki's "The New Eight Views of Omi," the artist's interpretation of a classic theme in Japanese art. Published by Uchida in 1937, these landscapes illustrate famous landmarks in rain and snow, from spring to winter, rendered in softly shaded color with a lovely watercolor-like appearance. Each print is mounted to stiff board in the nearly square shikishiban format, ready for display, with a label on the reverse (see example below). First edition images from this series are rarely seen on the market. A terrific modern choice to collect or display.
