Original Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902 - 1999) Japanese Woodblock Print
Spring Scene at Nango

Series; New Eight Views of Omi, 1937

First Edition The New Eight Views of Omi - Handsome design from Tokuriki's "The New Eight Views of Omi," the artist's interpretation of a classic theme in Japanese art. Published by Uchida in 1937, these landscapes illustrate famous landmarks in rain and snow, from spring to winter, rendered in softly shaded color with a lovely watercolor-like appearance. Each print is mounted to stiff board in the nearly square shikishiban format, ready for display, with a label on the reverse (see example below). First edition images from this series are rarely seen on the market. A terrific modern choice to collect or display.

Image Size - 10 5/8" x 9 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Mounted to board. Slight toning, a few spots. Please note, this print does not have a label on the reverse. Please see photos for details.
